Ahh, you're all a bunch of n00bs. :p On my old SCSI full-tower rig, I had ... oh heck, I don't remember, other than I actually ran out of drive letters. No joke. I had IDE opticals, including a 4-CD changer, and a SCSI chain that included two external 6-disc changers as well as a bunch of readers and a burner. My current rig has 11 HD partitions on 3 drives, 4 opticals, a floppy, and a USB-key. (No SCSI anymore, so sad. :( )

Btw, what are all of those "removable disks" in everyone's pics? Are those USB external HD enclosures, or SATA internal HDs, or what? One of mine is my USB key, but that only shows when it's plugged in.

Card readers.

For those people that buy cameras that you can't plug directly (or via a docking station) into your computer via USB or FireWire. :p

Three hard drives, four card reader icons, two real DVD drives, one fake DVD drive, ActiveSync, Bluetooth, one Gmail drive, one floppy drive, and a partridge in a pear tree.

I'm *DAMN CLOSE* to out of drive letters.

What happens when you are? Do you just have to deal with directory mapping? Or does it go to other characters?

My work machine has run out. Drives don't map anymore :|

I had to move my USB flash drive to B:.
