Well if you would just move a bit up north to good old Wisconsin, you wouldn't have to worry about tolls. Just crap traffic while they redo the biggest interchange in Milwaukee :p. Though it still isn't as bad as Chicago traffic. Our rush hour at least ends around 7:00.

Does no one see the problem with the state using your tax money to build toll roads that they then hire foreign companies to run so they can both profit off of your need to get to work?

The interstates in IL are in a horrible shape too...makes you wonder WHERE that money actually goes.

Just follow the Supervisors on up driving Jaguar's to see where and what they live and you'll see where the money is going.

It really irks me when they say that they're going to use tolls to pay for the new road, but "in 3 years" it will revert to free. That NEVER happens.

The cheapest option to reload the iPass card automatically is $40 every time. So your money sits in Illinois' accounts drawing interest.

Also, have you seen those BIG signs saying "Open Road Tolling - Blagojevich Governor"? Those cost $15,000 EACH for a total of $480,000 for all the Toll plazas! Why do they cost so much? Because Rod the Corrupt decreed that he wanted BIG signs with his name on them. The signs would have cost a LOT less (hundreds of dollars instead of $15,000) if SuperHuge Ego Blagojevich had been willing to settle for something a bit smaller, since the Tollway Authority actually makes its own signs.
