I've got the worst luck. . .

Bought a camera on November 27th. Camera was supposed to be new, but had 427 shots already on it. Returned that camera and they sent me another that arrived on December 5th. Finally filled up the card and downloaded the first batch of photos. Was thrilled initially - but then in post processing I noticed that in every picture in exactly the same place there was a bright cyan blue series of about 4 pixels. I'm pretty sure that isn't a good thing or a feature. So now I call and have to send it back and it could be 'up' to 30 days for a refund. So basically I won't have a camera through my kid's Christmas play, etc. . .I guess I'll have to get some one time use pieces of crap. . .

Sigh.

Welcome to my life XD

I seem to go through the same thing with every major electronics purchase.

Good luck with getting your issue resolved in a timely fashion.

Thats not the worst luck, when I have more time I'll share a few of my worst experiences with you. 😀

Definitely post where you bought it from and tell us how well they have responded to your issues, update the thread as well. If it's a bad seller/store, then that's an issue, but if it's a reputable store that has been getting bad merchandise, which may be out of their hands, then let us know how well they responded to issues.

Ouch. Did you buy it from a shady store or something?

No a very well known retailer online. . .I'm not going to post anything negative about them though. The first one could have been someone that returned the camera and sealed it up perfectly, and they thought it was unopened. Shrug - it happens.

The 2nd one definately was't their fault. You can't blame a CCD problem on a retailer. I'll remain neutral as long as they handle the refund as promised.

It was a Canon Powershot S2 IS camera.

On a positive note, this may be a divine intervention telling me to go ahead and get a dslr. . .who knows. . .

I just broke my shure e2c. 🙁

My pair of e2c's broke four months after purchase... no big deal, shure replaced them since they were still under warranty.

The replacement pair chokes two months later and shure said they would not replace them again 🙁

Since it's 30 days for a refund, why don't you just send it back and purchase the replacement one locally since you need it for Christmas?
