I went to Best Buy a couple weeks ago and bought some Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speaks for my new computer. Originally, I had some problems getting them to even work, but eventually I worked through that. Right off the bat I thought they sounded GREAT, but once in awhile I got the feeling that there was the teensiest bit of static far away, but I couldn't put my finger on it.
So they worked that way for a couple of weeks, no real problems other than the phantom static that I could only half hear anyways. Tonight things got worse. I put in a cd to make sure I wasn't just going crazy and sure enough the static was much more pronounced. Even weirder is that the only speaker that I can notice the static in is the right one. I checked and rechecked my speaks' connections to try to get better contact but nothing really helped too much. Occasionally the sound would improve, but would then slowly deteriorate again...
Does this simply sound like a problem with the speakers themselves (the right one), or is there anything I can do to change this. I don't have a sound card, just the onboard sound from my Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe. I tried downloading a sound driver from Asus but I have no clue on how to install it (help in that dept. would be great too!!) Suggestions are appreciated! Thanks
