Sure it was mostly lean mass? I'm skeptical looking at that list of food... but there are people who can eat the worst sh1t and come out looking amazing... they're just rare. *shrug*

It's pretty lean. I have a bit of fat over my obliques and in that area, but otherwise almost nothing.

1. Lift HEAVY, always. At least 3 times a week. Lift until you are spent.
Yep, that's been my key. The first 2-3 months I lifted I used machines and didn't use anywhere near enough weight. Now I'm all free weights, lifting heavy with low reps, and seeing good results.

Before and After :camera:s?

No I'm not posting pics for guys to look at. :p

I'd probably say about 17-18lbs of muscle and the other probably fat. Also note that unless you have a body that adapts well to change and packs on muscle super easy, after this point gaining that other 15lbs isn't going to be easy.

I agree with all of that. I'm already seeing the gains becoming much more difficult.

lol. Eating 5 times a day increases your metabolism, thus you should expect to actually lose weight.

Yeah, Arnold really looks like hell compared to men his own age. After all, only people who take steroids undergo heart surgery.

I've always wondered: If I want to lose fat and gain muscle, what should my exercise regimen be like? Should I focus on just one at a time (i.e. just gain muscle and fat for now, and then aerobic later to burn the fat?) or what?

I think I'm 5'7" and 170lbs. right now. I think I'm around 25% body fat according to this bathroom fat analyzer I stepped on the other day. I don't do any exercise right now, so what to do?

Edit: oh yeah, by the way, good job OP! :)

I need to start working out, I've gone from 130 ish to 177 in a year. I eat chicken for lunch almost every day and either steak and rice or subs every night. I've also been snacking like crazy. Thing is before I HAD to eat 5 times a day just to MAINTAIN 125 to 130. Now the weight is coming on and I need to shape it. Luckily so far I just look "fuller" and not fat. I still have a flat stomach, whereas before I had a six pack without even working out. Virtually no body fat at all.

Sucks to, because a lot of my favorite jeans don't fit anymore and the one's that used to be baggy and oversized fit nicely now!

I also have always been thin.
I'm 6' @ 140lbs I believe and my metabolism
is crazy fast. Its not like i'm super skinny,
I'm just really tone. I believe the last time
I checked my BF% it was around 10% if
I remember correctly.

I could be stacked if I actually worked out but
all I really do is crunches and pushups.

Congrats

And isn't it funny that HamburgerBoy is named after a food, but doesn't even eat much of it ? :(

130-150%?

I've never tried to max but I would estimate it to be about 150 lbs. Chest exercises are by far my worst.

24 pounds of muscle in a year? Big time shens on that.

I didn't say 24 lbs of muscle. Go read the title again. ;) Probably more like 17 lbs of muscle as was mentioned earlier.

Aztech yes just focus on either bulking or cutting at once.

I was 6"1 and 122 lbs in January   ! I've been working out daily and I'm now at 135 lbs. I'll race you to 185 lbs!

:D On my spotted exercises I'm lucky if I can do four un-forced reps. And of course negatives on bench are fun.

I better win that one. ;)
