I've discovered grapefruit recently

Been eating 2 or 3 a day with a touch of cane sugar.

Also chugging the juice (light) like they're going extinct. These things are delicious. It's like super sour lemonade.

10/10 would fruit again.

Mandarin, blood, cara cara, navel oranges, tangerines. The saving grace of winter's produce is citrus. Grapefruit are like the zucchini of summer vegetables. Meh.

I eat them same as an orange. Once you get the outer skin off, you find satan has put another, even more difficult skin to deal with underneath. That's the biggest reason I don't get them more often. Love the taste though.

Never peeled a grapefruit myself, but I'm not a huge fan really. Usually just halved or juice em.

If by more sour you actually mean less then you still aren't fully correct...
They also taste nothing alike. Lemons, limes, oranges, etc taste so much better.

They also interact with a ton of common medications...

I have been eating the red/pink variety for awhile. Couldn't imagine adding any sugar though.

When I was just a lad, oh, we would put more than a touch of sugar on the grapefruit, I tell you true. A fine crust of sugar for us, indeed! Same with tomato slices, fresh from the garden, don't cha know.

I grew up using just a touch of salt on grapefruit to bring out the natural sweetness.

I LOVES me some grapefruit...but nowadays, the acidity disagrees with my system.

Grapefruit juice and tequila is damned good...especially when it's hot outside.

Try the Oro Blanco variety, very low acidity and a mild, fragrant flavor.

I do enjoy me some grapefruits, but I like to toss them into the frig and let them get cold. If I'm inspired, I'll peel one, cut in half and soak in Vodka in the frig for a couple of days and eat on a hot summer evening.

I love grapefruit and grapefruit juices...especially when I can find it with the fruity pulp.

If you ever go to Chipotle, order the Izzy sparkling grapefruit soda in a bottle. It's awesome.

You haven't tried grapefruit until you pick some fresh fruit . Fresh grapefruit is not sour.

As a kid, we lived next door to this guy who has a giant grapefruit tree. It practically cover half of his backyard and grapefruits would be falling off the tree covering every inch beneath it. He would let us go gather as much as we want. We get free grapefruits, he gets a clean backyard.

If you have a Costco near you, Kirkland makes grapefruit cups that are whole grapefruit sections in juice I think it is. It's red grapefruit so it's a little sweeter. It comes in cases of 12. I don't remember who the original manufacturer is but they have something similar at the supermarket and they're much more expensive.

You realize that is just watered down juice right? Just buy regular grapefruit juice and mix it with water yourself. You will get twice as much juice for the same price.

Why mention cane sugar and not just sugar?
