When I was just a lad, oh, we would put more than a touch of sugar on the grapefruit, I tell you true. A fine crust of sugar for us, indeed! Same with tomato slices, fresh from the garden, don't cha know.I have been eating the red/pink variety for awhile. Couldn't imagine adding any sugar though.

Try the Oro Blanco variety, very low acidity and a mild, fragrant flavor.I LOVES me some grapefruit...but nowadays, the acidity disagrees with my system.
