I've begun to take Ripped Fuel again...

After a year of not taking it and gaining all the weight I lost originally, I've begun to take it again.

Hopefully it works and I lose the weight and get my "bricks" back. 😀

So no meats, no no fatty foods and no drive thru for me. Back to the salads and chicken breast. 😀

Have you ever taken Ripped Fuel before?

Yeah those products work. Not particularly safe though. There have been some health complications and who knows how bad they are taken long term. I suppose for a shortwhile you're ok though.

I took Metabolift when I was trying to get really cut. It works isn't as bad as hydroxycut or as inconsistent as ripped fuel.

Ripped Fuel isn't inconsistent. I mean I took it for a couple months and lost almost 60lbs. I was exercising constantly, playing a lot of basketball and lifting a lot of weights. Lost the weight like nothing and stopped taking the pills. Then a few months later I started to gain it back from laziness.

So back to the pills to get back into shape. 😀

Try diet fuel. It is by twinlabs too and has the same exact ingredients plus citrimax. The name of it might night be as manly as Ripped fuel, but the citrimax helps burn empty calories alot faster than without

after taking ripped fuel for a little while i realized it wasn't doing ANYTHING for me anymore, not even the jolt i needed to stay awake.

I guess we disagree on the meaning of consistent. These products are NOT regulated by the FDA so you have to count on the company itself. In independents tests on the content of ephedra in various products, Ripped fuel scored the worse swing from less than 10% of the advertised content to as much as 400%. Metabolift scored the best.

I'm saying it's consistent because it worked for me. I mean reading and researching is great and all, but I tried it and it worked.

I would've tried the Diet Fuel, but they only had the 60 capsule bottle and that's not enough to justify cost, when you get the 120 it kinda averages out. 😀

I'll let ya'll know if the Ripped Fuel works the second time around though. 😀

I don't mean to thread crap, so please don't flame me. 🙂

With that said, is the general active ingredient in this stuff ephedra? If so, I'd be careful. I read in a reader's digest (doctor's office 😛) an article about people who had taken ephedra products to get energy, and ended up going insane and dying.

Weird. I SWEAR the article I read mentioned one of the housewives eventually getting to the point where she heard voices in her head...

Maybe in high dosages it could make kill you. But not with only 2 pills a day. 😀

I mean it's just like rolling, it makes tells your brain think you can handle more than your body can do. 🙂

You bet. I take it once a day instead of the recommended three though...I personally don't see the benefit of making me edgy after dinnertime...but that's just me

I take one in the morning before I go to skewl and one in the afternoon before I go to exercise or before dinner, whichever I feel like. 😀

So only 2 pills a day. 🙂

I do 2 before I work out...and that's pretty much it.

On days I work out twice, I take Ripped twice
On days I don't work out, I don't take it at all...

all of these products are collectively known an ECA stack (Ephedrine, Caffeine, Aspirin). Some of them have different ratios and other voodoo products that don't do anything, but the Ephedrine/Caffeine combo is what has been shown to be effective. Ephedrine or caffeine taken individually will have the effect of raising your metabolism and accomplishing fat burning, but, when taken together in the proper ratio (1 ephedrine : 10 caffeine) they have been found to have a synergistic effect (i.e. a larger effect than a simple sum of their individual effects).

Ephedrine can be safely dosed with most people. People with prexisting heart conditions, those taking MAOIs, and people on anti-depressants should not take Ephedrine. Sometimes heart conditions can lie silent though so it's best to have a full physical beforehand.

Ephedrine and caffeine both trigger the beta adrenergic receptors (mimicking adrenaline) so that's what brings on the increased energy levels and jitters. Your body quickly adapts to this though, and you will find that before long you will not notice these effects. However, the thermogenic properties of the stack will continue.

That said, it is best not to dose every day. Long-term studies are not available, so best to stay in the realm of moderation. Cycle on one day and off the next. Also, it's best to quit all together for a few months or so to give your body a break.

Most of the kids that died from ephedrine were stupid rave kids looking for the next high. They ingested WAYYYYY to much and then overexerted themselves dancing (not to mention any other substances they might have ingested). If you follow the advice on the label, you will most likely be fine.

However, it is true that because these products are considered herbal supplements and therefore not regulated by the FDA, they vary widely in their potency. There's another reason to not go above the recommended dosage.

And it cannot be understated that there's no such thing as a miracle pill that makes you lose weight. You will find that the ECA stack by itself will not give you much in the way of results. You can't continue being lazy and eat everything in sight and expect to lose weight. Like mztykal said, he used Ripped Fuel along with a lot of physical exercise (along with a semi-decent diet I'm sure) to lose those 60 pounds. I guarantee you that the majority of that weight loss was from the diet and exercise--the Ripped Fuel only contributed a little. Notice he said he stopped taking the ECA stack, and then gained the weight back "due to laziness"... Weight loss isn't permanent, unfortunately. A permanent lifestyle change is lot more effective in the long-run than periods of heavy weight loss followed by periods of laziness in which it is all gained back.

You'll probably see the best results if you give yourself a day off from dieting every week (or two weeks) and eat everything you want. This helps your body avoid the starvation mode, which it will easily revert to if it notices a drastic decrease in calories. In this mode, your body becomes super-efficient, squeezing every last drop of energy out of the food you eat (it's obviously a leftover remnant from the days of famine). This will also give you the needed mental break from having to restrict your caloric intake so much. It also gives you the satisfaction of being able to eat the foods you love with a minimal impact on weight.

Also, don't go heavy into the weights if you've been out of the loop for a while. Always best to do it in moderation so you don't hurt yourself and also to keep yourself from getting too bored or exhausted with it.

I've taken diet fuel for a couple of months now. The recommended dosage is 3 pills, 3 times a day for total of 9 a day. I can?t handle 9 a day I?m to wired to sleep at night. So I take 6 a day. If you just sit on your a$$ when your taking them and stay away from fatty foods you'll lose weight slowly. If you exercise while your taking them you'll see rapid weight loss. I've found that taking diet fuel in the morning instead of drinking coffee does a better job of waking you up.

Those muscletech advertisements, you know, "I Lost 60 Lbs in 21 days!" is total BS. The only way anyone would lose that much is DNP and T3, which is very dangerous, but some of the extremely overweight people did it and it does work like a charm. Normally you can see around 1-2 lbs per day on a low 200-400MG dose. Some people reported up to 9 lbs a day. Do a search on MSN or Google.

hey, does anyone know/have experienced this stuff called "cutting gel"? Supposedly you rub it onto parts of your body that has excess fat, and it has some ingredients that dissolves the fat and injects it into your bloodstream, so when you work out, you burn the fat from that specific part of the body.

hint
#1 all these pills are no good for you
i've tried em'...
did it for 3 months.. lost a lil bit of weight and that's about it
then after i stopped i started doing a lot of exercise... eat less and *BAM*
i lost 15-20 lbs SLOWLY within the course of 3 months or so. sure it may be slow, but gradual weight loss is the best
you want your system accustomed to your weight. consumption of fewer calories + more burning of calories = best effect

just eat less ;p if you're too lazy to workout ;p
but working out and eating fewer calories than you system burns is even better

remember
your weight x 12 = amount of calories you burn a day
3500 calories = about 1 pound
manage your calories intake and you're set
