BTW.. if you want something to perk you up try choking back loads of jalepeno's while you work. That's torture but damn does it keep you awake :)

Dude, there's no point to staying up excessive amounts unless you want to break the record, which is almost a month or something. Get some Zs going man!

I, like most people, only get about 4 or 5 hours of sleep a night. I think maybe four or five times in my life have I done the round the clock thing. There have also been near attempts.

All I know is that when I try (especially as I get older), as soon as I see the sun for the second time since sleeping last, I think, "GAWD am I tired". I get that deep down, semi-delusional, hullicinatory quasi living feeling that makes the whole concept not worth it.

Sleep - it does a body good.

I've gone 5 days with no sleep, that was pretty wierd. The army made me do it, and they wanted me to drive for part of it. I slept good after that for about 18 hours.

I am not doing this by choice? Good one, you were forced at gun point to stay at the party? ;)

lol, well let's just say I wanted to be there for as long as possible, and the lack of sleep is my sacrifice :) There was someone there I didn't want to part with until I had to :)

Ah, I see, so it was being forced to stay. The opposite sex can do that to you (or the same if you are into that)

This past semester I stayed awake 80+ hours because of a combination of finals week and working full time. I literally had no chance to sleep. That's my record. I wasn't feeling very good by the end of it though. It felt like I had a huge cloud over my brain and all my thoughts were foggy. I was also very easily irritated by little things and other people. I wouldn't recommend it.

Now because of my hectic schedule I usually only get about 4 hrs of sleep a day during the week but I catch up on the weekends. During school I often stay up for 2 days straight and as for a mere 24hrs straight, I do that at least once a week. I know it's not good for me, but my body has become accustomed/adjusted to it. Plus, I'm a lot more productive in this way. Get alot of things done. :)

I've done 24 hours many many times. If you want to make that challenging, try playing online FPS games ALL 24 hours. Your brain will be a gooey mess when you are done.

Fun though...
