I have been sick for the last couple of days and I have been on here looking around and I have a couple questions....

#1. Do people like Eakers and Hotchik have lives? Or do they work for the site, cause I see them on here all day and all night. Not to single them out cause there are a few more, I just was using them as an example.

#2. Why are the abbreviations for half of what everyone says? STFU, NEF, WOOT, LMAO, I mean I know what these mean, but wouldn't the affect of these comments be greater if you actually wrote the words?

Now I know people are gonna get all huffy, like I am insulting Eakers or hotchik, and anyone else, on here, but I am not. I honestly want to know.

#1. Some post here more than others, their lives and posting habits are none of your concern. Also, it's frowned upon here to single people out like that. Perhaps you could rephrase your post to read "Do some people..."

#2. Abbreviations are used commonly on the Internet. It's lingo, and each forum site or chat room has it's own. Some abbreviations are used because of language filters, others used because they are part of forum (or chat room) culture.

To number one, I have no idea

Number Two- It is shorthand, and accepted to the degree that the affect (someone knows how to use this word!!!) is about the same.

Number Three. I feel flames starting. (Generally considered bad form for someone to single out individuals, if you haven't been here for a while and have a good reason to do so)

Ok well once again, I wasn't actually singling people out. I was just using certain people as an example.

#1-I'm here 24/7 because I'm on temp bedrest and have nothing better to do

#2-I type with an on-screen keyboard and abbreviations are much easier to type.. You should try it someday.

TTYL Have a nice day.

A lot of people here are in front of the computer most of the day and post from work. In a very 'Office Space' type of way we get bored and post here instead of doing our work.
