Well not really, but my webcam software has all but disappeared completely.

I have an LG R500 laptop (Vista)

The short cut wouldn't open the program so I looked in programs/LG software/LG Smartcam
there's nothing in the folder.

So I go into the control panel/add and remove programs and I find the LG smartcam program, click on it and then click on "change/repair" It goes through the motions of repairing with the install shield wizard. However before it finishes I get a window popping up saying:

CRC error: The file in the setup's.cab file. The medium from which you are running the setup may be corrupted; contact your software vendor.

Any ideas?? Thanks in advance :)

Run a complete malwarew scan. Uninstall the program.
Reinstall it using the original media disk, not what's on your HDD.

If you are a registered owner of the webcam and software, you can contact the OEM and get a replacement disk.

I love how some people write a big dramatic dilemma for their post title, and then starts their post with "well, not really." Why do i click into these post anyways.
