I think you meant to say that your "2 XBox 360s, your modded XBox with the 500GB HD, your PS2, GameCube, PS1, N64, Intellivision, Atari 2600, ~80 games, 60 DVDs, and $150 in cash." 😀

*shifty eyes as he fills out insurance forms*

Sorry to hear that.

When I was still living with my parents, their place got robbed too. The fvckers came through my window and practically searched through every box and drawer in my room. It was totally trashed. They only took small electronics they could carry. Computer and home stereo was untouched. The PS1 in the living room was also taken. It looked like they didnt have enough time to search all the rooms cause my parent's room and 2 of the other rooms were not touched. The sad thing was, the cops were able to identify the suspect from the prints and the fvcker was asian too.:|

As mentioned above, keep a lookout on Ebay/Craigslist. Never know how stupid thieves can be when they're trying to make a quick buck.

The police pretty much echoed this statement, told me to check ebay for the next few days for 1 auction selling everything taken (surely theives cant be this stupid? At least do seperate auctions). I've looked once already, I'll keep checking though.
They also suggested I try a few reseller shops around town, but no joy.

For the people mentioning firearms, I live in the UK, so its unlikely (but not impossible) that they would have been carrying one. Getting one to protect myself would probably be more trouble than its worth as well.

I can take some :camera:s, but I have nowhere to host them.

Edit: I am going to invest in an alarm and some CCTV camera's though, I'm watched everywhere I go in this godforsaken country so I'm going to start watching people around my property.

i thought you blokes said "burgled" not "robbed" ?

nevertheless, sorry to hear this. My car was broken into some years ago and it really made me feel violated - those azzhats even left me a note saying sorry for cutting up the dash to get the stereo

your dog sucks at the guardage.

Well, to be fair, he wasn't able to do anything. I'm sure he was barking, but he was shut in the hall, away from the lounge. I've not been sure if letting him have full run of the flat is a good idea, he has a tendancy to eat things (literally anything, he ate a cup once).
However, I've decided I'm going to let him have full reign. I'm also going to buy him a big spiky collar, he's not a small dog (boxer/rottweiler (sp?) cross). The sight of a big dog with a spiky collar barking his arse off should make anyone think twice.

i always thought spikey collars were self defence things. dogs like to go for each others necks and maybe spikey colar keeps him from getting bit on neck.

You were burglarized and not robbed. Robbery is force or threat of force being used on a person to take something.

you sound like you have a good attitude about it.

I'm glad to see that instead of you telling us about life isn't just worth it anymore.

but, I'm sorry to hear that man, my friend was just robbed 1200 dollars yesterday on ebay, but he couldn't see the red flags through his thickhead.

That will help. I hate to mention this, but unless the stuff was easily visible through a window( a very bad idea, I might add), it was somebody who has been to your flat.
That sucks, but it is almost always the case. Real friends bring over "buddies" who would think nothing of either:
1) stealing your stuff.
2) blabbing indiscreetly about " this dude who has all this bling stuff".

That really sucks, dude. 🙁

Atleast they didn't get your PC. Personally, it'd be far more tragic to have my PC nicked (irreplaceable data) than any/all of my consoles.

I stand corrected. 🙂

I'll post some :camera:s once I've found some battery's for my camera.
