Freaking CouponGate at the beginning of this century nerfed the HotDeals forum 😡

and it's been a graveyard ever since

Closing in on 9 years myself...incredible how time flies and things change.

Then:15 year old loud mouth who was trying his best to impress a bunch of strangers. Marching band, my first 'love', trying to get my driver's permit, no clue what I wanted to do long-term (but what 15 y/o does?).

Now: 24 and happily engaged, working as a systems analyst at my dream company, and just purchased my first home.

I cringe while reading my first posts on the board...

Another thought other than dimentia right now its the best time to be an old person! In a decade we will have VR that is good enough that even if we end up getting dimentia we will be able to relive star wars and godfather repeatedly and appreciate then for new! Now if you keep your marbles you will probably be able to buy accesories for your VR console to keep you busy till your heart goes out.

I had 17k when they redid the forums a few years back, and there was some snafu that doubled my postcount so I went from 17k to 34k. Legit count is around 27k.

I've been in IT for over 2 years now. Lots of time to nef. 😛
