I bought a Palm IIIc from Amazon and received a $50 GC, which expires end of this month.
What should i buy with this $50 GC? (well, don't ask me to donate to you ;))

I'm looking for surround PC speakers but don't see amazon carries those. No DVD recommendation please :)

Rossman pointed out those PC speakers. Anyone here has these speakers? How is the quality?

blech, I didn't like Timeline. I always use my Amazon GCs on DVDs, but you've ruled that out. Maybe a couple of CDs? A book or 2 (or 5)? Some accessories for your Palm?

If you really can't find something....buy a gift or gifts whoever's birthday is next. It worked for me.

I just read "Microserfs" and loved it...

Also, you can buy Smashing Pumpkins CD's!

A book would be good, but with what they charge for shipping thats most likely all you would get!

I would reccomend you go ahead and get those speakers..
I bought em last week for my cousin's comp I am building..and They're really quite nice. You could spend a little more and get the ACS-56's..

I have the ACS 56x, and they are not that great. They are good for games, but that is about it. The sub is overpowering for the sattelites. I think the set is simply not matched well.

The satellites are all mids, with weak highs, as well. So unless that is the best you can find, stay away from the speakers.

Those are what I have and they're a very good deal. I think I paid $90 for mine a year or two ago, got ripped off. Still using them right now. A nice, solid base and the satellites have good sound range / output. Especially for the price, if that's your first 5.1 speaker set it's a good choice.

I would highly recommend the ACS-54, the bass is surprisingly deep, and good even sound.

History of Sh1t
Sounds interesting. I think this will be the most interesting history book ever ;)

But i think i'll buy the Altec Lansing ACS54, which is what i really needed. I'll have to call Amazon tomorrow to cancel my gift order and replace it with the speakers.
