Although temporary how wacky is that? Again how is this unqualified person allowed to sit in at the table with the most powerful leaders of the world. Where was trump? Lol she is giving policy speeches.

Americans react with outrage after Ivanka Trump attends G20 meeting

Donald Trump 'behaving like a dictator by leaving underqualified socialite daughter to fill in for him at G20

I like this article from the Washington Journal.

Story.

"President Trump stunned the world today when he sent his unqualified and unelected daughter to fill in for him at the G-20 summit. Apparently uninterested in the “Partnership with Africa, Migration and Health” discussion, Trump inexplicably wandered off and was replaced by shoe design plagiarist and sweatshop profiteer Ivanka, who said barely two weeks ago that she preferred to “stay out” of politics.

UN Ambassador Nikki Haley defended Ivanka on Face The Nation today with a simply staggering line of defense: “She’s got her certain issues that she focuses on and when those things come up then that’s where she is. She sees herself as part of a public servant family and she doesn’t want to waste this time by not putting forward some effort to try and help the world.”"

Hey I have certain issues I want to focus on can I sit in on the G20?

This is embarrassing, inappropriate, and disgraceful.

I'm not sure whether it even matters anymore, though. I don't know if the world's opinions of Trump can fall much further, either internationally or domestically. His approval rating here in the states has probably already hit his base of support in the U.S., and that's a hard floor. These are the people who will continue to defend and support him no matter what. Some in his own party may condemn his actions verbally, but of course they won't and probably can't do anything about it.

Internationally, I don't think anyone in the G20 (or anywhere else) is expecting the U.S. to lead anymore. They know Trump is a joke.

I think it's amusing that Trump may be trying to groom his daughter for a possible politic run, but not that amusing. While I don't think she'd ever be elected since she's accomplished absolutely nothing on her own, the country did elect Donald sooo...

Interesting what David Gergen said on friday.

“This is the first time I’ve seen a President come to a G-20 meeting in which he’s no longer regarded as the leader, no longer regarded as the world leader,”Gergen told John Berman. “That is troubling.”

It'll be Don Jr. in 2020 and maybe Ivanka in 2024. Trump may care for his daughter but he's also a sexist pig who probably wants his creepy sons to follow in his footsteps.

Meh, it's not worth getting upset about. Thing I saw on it said that someone else sitting in isn't that uncommon.
I will add I wonder what our Republican members would say if Obama let Michelle sit in when he was taking a leak at G20
I want to add from this point forward I don't want to her Ivanka say she doesn't work in the WH. She sat in on a G20 meeting

She certainly has done the best job of keeping a clean image relative to her siblings. No pictures of dismembering dead endangered species and no strange quotes about Russia.

This appointing of unqualified children to positions of incredible influence and power is basically only seen in countries like Turkey or Syria. Even countries like Russia and Iran have mechanisms in place (social or otherwise) to prevent this. It is a hallmark of a true dictatorship. That is not to say that Trump is a true dictator, but he could become one if he decides he wants to stay in power regardless of whether he lost the vote tally. I think this outcome looks more and more likely by the day.

Sometimes when a Dictator wants to stay in power, he appoints a close relative to his position and "abdicates" the throne, but stays in power behind the scenes.

They should hold it as they did on inception:
Initially attendance at G20 summits was limited to the finance ministers and central bank governors of members when it was established 17 years ago.

After all it is about actual finance and banking issues of the G20 members.

I'm reminded of a huge contrast....when President Reagan was shot and Vice-President Bush temporarily assumed command while Reagan was in surgery, Bush for protocol and symbolic reasons not to land on the south lawn of the White House

“Something about landing on the South Lawn didn’t sit well with me,” Bush told The News. “It might well have made for great TV, but I thought it would have sent the wrong message to the country and to the world. As I told my military aide, ‘Only the president lands on the South Lawn.’”

Ivanka Trump had no business being in the G-20 leader's seat alongside other world leaders. It's inexcusable, period.

Good work

Yeah, that's all it's about.
