ITX VIA as a PVR

Ok, I wanna play with Myth TV and PVR stuff. then I figured why not make it even more fun and play with something else I haven't touched. ITX. I know it could be done, but I wanna know if the VIA procs will be strong enough to handle it? I wont be capturing HD, just expanded basic cable. has anyone done this?
