iTunes

I just recently purchased one of the new iPod nano's and subsequently switched over to iTunes as my music player. The only problem that I'm having with it in comparison to WMP is that it doesn't seem as if my music library is automatically updating when I put new music in my "My Music" folder on my Dell Laptop. Does the song have to be put into the iTunes Music folder in order to be added?

EDIT: is it possible to update and control my iPod with Winamp?

to add music to the itunes library, you have to add it through itunes itself. depending on how you have it set it.. it will either copy the song over to the itunes music folder, or it will just play from where you added it from.

there used to be a plugin for winamp, but I'm not too sure of if it's been updated lately, haven't followed it.
