Itunes Scripts

i have a microsft keyboard with the multimedia buttons on it. when i would try to use the play/pause, stop, etc buttons with itunes it would pop up the whole application before working. this sucked for when i was ina game cause it would drop me back to the desktop. i found these scripts that took care of the problem Link

but when the new itunes(version 6) came out even these scripts started having trouble. when i execute the script it pops up a litle command window for a split second which will still drop me back to the desktop. i am wondering if there is any way to avoid this or another way to make this work. it was so nice haveing it work before.
are there any settings that i can change in the way that windows handle vbs scripts?

i can go back to the older version of itunes but i would prefer to use the new on if possible.

hm doesn't do that for me though, i use an ms ergo multimedia kb. did you install the keyboard software?

out of curiosity i upgraded from 4.9 to 6.0. same thing, it doesn't pop up when i use the kb media keys. hm

so itunes does not pop up when you use the regular media keys with there default settings? i should try that agian. i have not used the regular media keys since i upgraded. i have been using these scipts for almost a year.

the way i have these running is with the keyboard software i have the media buttons set to run these scripts instead of the normal play/pause actions. so when i push the play button on the keyboard it executes this script which pauses itunes.

i am thinking about uninstalling itunes and the keyboard softare but ivery time i uninstall itunes it still has all my playlists and stuff like that...so it is not getting rid of eveything, and i have not spent the time yetto go figure out where it is storing all that info.

i have the wireless desktop elite keyboard and mouse. i have tried the newest drivers for them and that does not make a difference

something else i just figured out with this. when i have the default setting with the keyboard it will not even play/pause the song. it does the action twice it seems and plays the song but pauses it right away agian so that it never plays the music.
