yes, burn it to cd and re-rip to mp3. i used to have to do this when using a dell dj for stuff i bought on itunes.

I think there is a program, Hymn (or something) that can strip away the protection and convert it to a straight AAC file. Maybe then you can do AAC -> MP3?

iTunes -> CD -> MP3 also works good.
