iTunes Q

Nocturnal

Lifer
I hate having to remove the entire song list and then load all the songs up again. Is there a faster way that I'm not seeing that will enable me to just load several songs in the same directory that already house all of my mp3s listed in iTunes?

Like say I have D:\mp3 for all of my mp3 files. All of the files in the mp3 directory is loaded in iTunes. Today I got a new CD and ripped it and want to include just those files in iTunes instead of having to reload everything up I want to just load those several files. How do I accomplish this?

File / Add Folder to Library and select the subfolder containing your new MP3s. AFAIK there's no other way to accomplish this. It would be nice if iTunes could monitor one or more folders for new music files and add them to your library accordingly.

can't you just do file -> add file to library and then hold down the control key or shift key and select the files you want? it seems to work for me, but maybe i'm missing something.

As far as I can remember, you can just add the entire d:\mp3 directory and iTunes will not re-add duplicates. Might take a while if you have a huge number of files though.
