iTunes playlist question

So I'm working on converting all episodes of Firefly (tv show) to iPod format and decided to store them in a playlist

But obviously, unless I do nothing else, this will take more than a day, so the playlist itself on my iPod will have to be updated multiple times. But whenever I recopy the playlist to my iPod, it also recopies all the videos within it.

How do I make it so it only copies the new additions?

Can't you just store them all on the PC then upload them later all at once? Or, remove them from the Playlist (uncheck) each time you upload 1.
