Hmmm...fair use would be a quick starter. Maybe a file that can be played one more than one mp3 player.

Huh? I'm a bit lost here. As far as fair use goes, the iTMS is the most fair out there(unlimited burns, unlimited iPods, 3 machines), and you can load it on to as many iPods as you want to(see: unlimited iPods).
