So I downloaded a album called "100 Greatest Songs Of The 80s". I add it to my itunes library however instead of it going into one folder it makes each song an individual album so I now have 100 albums containing one song. How do I stop it from doing this?

Welcome to the world of improperly tagged mp3's. I spent many hours tagging my files correctly so this doesn't happen in iTunes. Here's what you need to do..

1) Remove all the songs from iTunes
2) Get yourself a batch ID3 tagger, I use Tag & Rename
3) Load up the program and select all of the files you want to tag
4) Give them all the same album name
5) Re-import back into iTunes

It shouldn't do that unless you have that "have iTunes manage my music folder" option checked. At least I wouldn't think so....

Awesome thanks for the help. I will give it a shot.

You need to select all of the songs (a search on the album name should work), "Get Info" (or whatever iTunes calls it where you edit the tags), change the compilation dropdown to YES.
