itunes alternative

Since I picked up an additional 100GB of music yesterday (170GB), itunes crashes every time I try to "add folder to library".

And foobar for some reason doesn't add about 1/5th of the songs to the library.

Songbird's cluttered slow interface dark interface annoys me.

Are you talking about as a music player or do you need it to add songs to your ipod? I just put the opensource rockbox software on my ipod and it works out nicely, I just copy and paste music to via windows explorer to to my ipod and then profile it on the ipod, then listen. The only software needed to load music on it now is an operating system 🙂

That's good to know. If you find a good alternative that can handle massive amounts of files, be sure to post it 🙂

Maybe something is wrong with the music. I have over 100 gigs of music on my iTunes and it runs just fine. If iTunes and Foobar mess up, then it sounds like something is up with the source file.

Otherwise, try WMP11.
