I will wait to upgrade until I can get an Quicktime FREE install. I absolutely hate that POS.

Why not just install Quicktime Alternative over top of it?

Because I don't want to install Quicktime under any circumstances as it takes over your computer.

I actually like Quicktime. A lot. Apple's Movie Trailers are fantastic and Apple has the only video plugin that will actually work correctly in Firefox.

7.1.1 is showing as the latest for OSX

Use software update under the apple menu.

Interesting, I did check for updates from itunes directly and it didn't pick it up.

Usually i wait for software updates to pop up by itself notifying me there is an update

I don't have a problem with any other video plugins in Firefox. Quicktime Alternative provides all the functionality I need in Firefox. The WMP plugin covers CNN and works fine. Heck, I even got a DIVX plugin to to watch SGA episodes from tvlinks.

i like how they let you upgrade tracks just paying the difference🙂

I like how they charge you more for a license you already own... I also love how you can't re-download the file for a license you already own... NOT

because he wants to 'stick it to the man' by having an axe to grind.

Out of my 100 or so tracks, only three of them had an upgrade tag.

And what the hell is EMI? I looked on the labels of the tracks and they said Atlantic and Virgin. Nothing said EMI.

I have to admit, I can actually hear a difference between my 128kbps songs and the new ones. I tested some MP3s at one time and I could not hear a difference. Maybe these headphones I am wearing now are better quality. I hope all iTunes songs go 256kbps now.

And the majority of people who post in threse threads are pirates who just come in here to complain about *gasp* having to actually pay for something. Anything short of Apple giving these things away for free will never be good enough for these infantile posters.

EMI owned labels (may be incomplete): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_EMI_labels

Virgin is owned by EMI, but Atlantic under the Warner Music Group.

Thanks and a correction, it is a Yellowcard song produced by Capitol Records. I wish it was Atlantic because I have plenty of songs from them.
