The hell of it, its a good brand and there have been excellent reviews.

After all, a 9 week waiting list cant be a bad thing.

If you just want on a waiting list, get a Shiloh Sharps 😀

WARNING:56k go away!

Couldn't agree with you more. Nothing is more annoying than the whine of modem users demanding you shrimpy-size photos for them.

Um. No.

I was offered a blued Desert Eagle, IMI Israel 50 AE for $850.

If I wanted it, I would have bought that for $850, had Tripp/APW/Robar do a hard crome on it it for $300, and I'd be in for less than $1400. Sorry.

But think of all the great things you could use a Desert Eagle for! Like uh... a paper weight. What the hell do you do with a handgun that weighs 4 lbs unloaded?

I've come to really appreciate the Desert Eagle. Not because it's a useful weapon, or particularly interesting in any way. Rather, I appreciate it because it makes it easy to find the people that only know about guns because of the games they play or movies they watch. Nobody who actually has firearms experience would actually recommend a "Deagle," as the counterstrike crowd likes to call it.

yep.

Yeah... somehow the kick of light guns that fire large ammo bugs me. What good is a sidearm that breaks your wrist?

A .50 cal Desert Eagle is not practical at all. Nobody needs a round that large for a handgun. If you're in a situation where you *need* a handgun, are you going to want more than the 5 or 7 rounds in the mag (I forget which). The rounds are too big and quite slow and prohibitively expensive to routinely train on a regular basis with.

A .50 cal Desert Eagle is nothing more than recreational.
