they dont care. they just want to make a quick buck from excess inventories. if the servers die, let them die, its not like they cant sell their items since people will buy anything they throw out there. if the servers cant handle the traffic that day, then its a hot item and 100% of the time it will sell out

Yeah, I understand the buisness model of it.

But it still pisses me off. . . . maybe moreso because I understand why they're doing it.

I don't believe so Kniteman, I wish I could access the community section, it would have the list of all items on the woot-off thus far tonight.

edit: wth, boombox?

I was just on AIM with a friend and he said he saw one tonight . . . he could have been on crack though. He's kind of dumb like that 😉

But I'm mulling through Fatwallet forums right now. They're getting about 15 posts per minute on this topic.

i really wanna know WHO BUYS THEM!??

even on their forums a majority of people go "boo on this, that, where are my mystery 5.1 etc etc" but yet they still fly out like crazy (unless they only have 5 of these bookshelf systems)

anyone buy anything yet?

Not tonight, I have only ever bought one thing from Woot.com. I got in on the last Bag of Crap and got a remote control dinosaur type thing, priority puck(of course) and a neat little fiber optic lightpen thinger.

dell speakers! server is dead! ROFL

i couldnt put in my CC 4 digit secure code in time so i saved 30 bucks from NOT being able to get 2 sets of these speakers

i believe this happens when too many people are left orphaned/stranded in the checkout page when its SOLD OUT

their ASP.net programming sucks ass
