Ah take it easy on squirrel, it’s the running gag by the rest of Canada to Toronto.

As for comment about the rest of Canada, yeah where less than 10% of the population lives.

except he believes conspiracy theories...

Today I woke up and it was 66F indoors and had to turn on the baseboard heat. It hasn't been on since spring. They are calling for a little snow tonight and tomorrow.

I work outside, I deal with the cold much better than I do the heat. Those 90F + high humidity days make me feel horrible, but cold weather I'm fine. I can dress in layers, and it's easy to get the right temperature for the work I'm doing. However unfortunately the experts are saying that global warming in my area will cause longer extreme heat in the summer eventually reaching 125 F by 2050 but hopefully I won't have to work outside by then if I make it that long.

It's funny, these things called cities which are the economic engines of our nations, have extensive infrastructure density and the rare storm will require additional attention. But when you simply can't comprehend cities at all, well, it shows.

I've decided I don't mind cold weather; it's the limited daylight I really dislike.

Yeah that's the part of winter I hate the most. I already had to turn off the inverter in my shed that also supplies power to supplementary loads in the house. The standby takes more power than what I can produce in a short day. I am hoping that will change when I add more panels. Still need to do the automation etc for that system so it's a work in progress. The problem is not only are the days short but they are dark too.

Our Indian Summer in Nor-Cal was a bust this year - We usually get quite a quite a few days of 90+ degree weather instead its been mid 70's with lots of cool overcast coastal clouds.

Unreal that its snowing this early in the year for Illinois!

- And for all the cloudyness no good rain storms.

That article literally mentions the army being brought in.

Eh? No one said the army wasn't there. It's the multiple snow storms in a week that crippled Toronto. So it's not 15cm of snow and they call the army. It's like the only thing Lastman did as major of Toronto that I agreed with. The army was mainly clearing catch basins and fire hydrants.

Quote from different article quoting the CBC

On Jan. 14, a CBC reporter said that Toronto had already received more than 100 cm of snow and more was coming, adding that this could be "the snowiest January in 200 years."

Nope, give me summer! It is the 80's today. Perfect!
No thank you. I like the weather over by IL/WI border this time of year. Usually 40s or 50s during the day, perfect shorts and tshirt weather if its sunny.

Just below freezing at night, so a light jacket, and maybe shoes and socks rather than sandals for a nice evening walk.

No need to run the AC, Furnace kicks on for a little bit overnight to keep the cats and wife happy, but, usually just a little while.

That said, those 3-4 days a year when it goes significantly below 0F can be a bit uncomfortable if you go outside naked. But I wear clothes so im ok.
