<As for Bush, he didn't stumble much, sounded better in the end than at the beginning, and only snorted a handfull of times tonight. But he mentioned "freedom" a few times. Hurrraay!!>
Actually at first Gore stumbled pretty much as Bush, and then later gathered his politician slef back together for the most part. I thought Gore was at his best when attacking Bush on Texas, as if that was what he really prepared for.
Bush was at his best when talking about education of the nations children, whether he prepped for it, or really feels it is up for debate.
Bush by far delivered the best closing argument for those people still awake past the laborius foreign policy discussion. They agreed too much to call it a debate.
I'm talking about their speaking, not their beliefs when I say "at their best".
<Gore agreed far too much with Bush. And where did the sighs, interruptions and condiscention go? He totally changed war tactics. Another flop? He did poke at Bush's record in TX, that's a plus. He did seem more credible in foreign policy near the beginning.>
With Gore, I will always doubt if he agrees with Bush becuase he does agree, or if because he sees and issue that will give him votes, votes he hopes to steal from Bush by blurring the lines between he and Bush.
