People lived without cell phones just 5 years ago, when the world was not too different than it is now. You can still live without one.

Cliffs
1) A majority of my calls are not important. Mostly questions I'm not able to answer at the moment.
2) I have a number I can be reached at from 12-5.
3) I found that if I return all my calls at 5pm I can get them done in half an hour. It could take hours otherwise.
4) I don't care if my friends can't call me. I'll call them when I want to do something.

Why did I get a cellphone in the first place? I was brainwashed into thinking I couldn't live without one. 30 months later, I'm calling bullsht. I can't just drop my cellphone right now because too many people are used to using it, but it will be phased out over the next couple months.

I know for some people a cell phone is a social godsend, but for work I'm telling you: It's useless.

The reason for those points is:

1) You are unimportant, therefore your calls are unimportant.
2) You are reachable because you don't go out enough.
3) I don't know WTF you're talking about.
4) Your friends don't call you because you're unimportant.

meh I have one, but use it as my primary phone. (apartment with 5 guys, so a central land-line would be a pain in the ass).

The only reason I like it more is because I can just put it on vibrate, and screen/ignore/not pay attention to calls. I dont usually take it with me when I go out because I dont like getting calls when im at dinner, etc...
