I can see it now......a couple dozen fiery orange mushroom clouds rise above Beijing. Let's get the party started.
I don't understand this. China has been fighting Islamic militants on its own borders for quite some time now. I don't understand why they would be arming the very groups they are fighting. If this is true, though, this whole war could take a turn for the worse.
In the next 30 years China will become one of the biggest forces opposing the U.S. I truly believe they will become a superpower in as little as 20 years. Once they open up that economy (as it already is), Multi-National corporations will beef that country up. From there, there is no telling what will happen.....I just know it won't be good though.....
Is it really necessary to start another World War because of such a trivial issue?
Yeah, don't wait and see what happens, and let us especially not ask any questions, but just nuke them into oblivion.

It seems as if Big Bidnuss wants those China markets even if it means the grandkids of all those CEOs will someday be speaking Chinese. Expect no change in U.S. policy toward "engaging" China.
Does anyone realize that everyone is got a nuclear war weapon nowadays? Its not special anymore to drop a nuke and it will only lead to world destruction by nuking another nation.
The articles does not clearly say China recently supplied the weapons. It just says it found weapons which were made in China.

So we should nuke an entire country because a few operatives supplied weapons to our enemy?
An American citizen, John Walker, took up arms against our country. Shouldn't we start at home first?
Those that participated should be ferreted out. This is easily done, considering China doesn't have all these whiney @ss liberals screaming for unfair treatment...If it looks like a terrorist, smells like one, and contributed to the death of others through a terrorist act...you are a terrorist and forfeit any right you have to live.
The only way we should get involved with China is if they don't cooperate hunting down these terrorists inside their borders or if they fvck with taiwan.

So they found some Chinese Ammo in the caves. The article admits that it could be old stuff from wars past. And as for the missiles, they could have been purchased by other parties and sold to the Taliban later.

We can and should aid the Taiwanese should sh!t hit the fan but if China decides to harbour terrorists (if they're not already doing so), there's nothing we could do about it directly. A couple thousand Special Forces vs. 2 billion Chinese = not good.
The Washington Times ran an article very similar to this about two months ago. I posted it here, and people questioned the source (the washington times). I'm trying to find the post, but I can't (even with the subscriber search).

China decides to harbour terrorists
Every country in the world harbours terrorist. The USA does it, as well.

Father Roy Bourgeois, the charismatic Maryknoll priest who has, since 1990, led the annual protest against against the United States' most infamous military training facility, wasn't sure it would happen this year. But in mid-September he called around to assess the resolve of the movement. Response was unanimous.
"It's very important that we be here, because at the very core of this issue is violence," said Bourgeois. "We're going to mourn the thousands killed on September 11, but we cannot forget the 75,000 in El Salvador who were victims of terrorists trained at the School of the Americas."
Graduates of the school implicated in human rights abuses are legion. Human Rights Watch reported last year that seven graduates were connected to Colombian paramilitaries, including Brig. Gen. Jaime Canal Albán, who has been tied to the displacement of 2,000 peasants and at least forty extrajudicial executions.
This year's protest against the School of the Americas--renamed the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (WHISC)--marked a standoff between the recently galvanized peace movement, and the continuing militarization of US foreign policy. But considering the current climate, the massing of 10,000 on November 18 was a significant statement of informed dissent.
Located on the grounds of the Army's Fort Benning, the facility has remained a potent symbol and a critical mechanism in the vertical integration of the national security apparatus across the hemisphere.
To the veterans of the Central American solidarity movement and the recent crop of globalization activists who want to shut down the facility, the heightened patriotic rhetoric of the past two months has only strengthened their opposition to what they consider a terrorist training camp.
The recent passage of the USA PATRIOT Act made the protests an important test for exploring the boundaries of dissent. The city of Columbus had hoped to block the demonstrations, citing the threat of trespass from multiple entry points and the expectation of "more dangerous groups" than the nonviolent SOA Watch--evidence perhaps of the e-mail surveillance component of the PATRIOT Act in action.
Despite apprehension on both sides, the protests held to a traditional model of nonviolent civil disobedience throughout the weekend, with a peaceful funeral procession in front of the base's closed gate and more than 100 arrests of protesters who symbolically breached the line.
The gate was gradually festooned with wooden crosses, flowers and photographs as the protesters sang a litany of the names of the disappeared, each name accompanied by the invocation: "Presente."
The larger part of the protest was made up of parishioners and students, but groups as varied as Farm Labor Organizing Committee (FLOC) and Veterans of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade were also in attendance. The protesters cut across a broad constituency embracing liberation theology and militant anarchism, with all adhering to a tight set of protest ground rules.
The South is central to the military economy of the country. The region is host to 56 percent of enlisted soldiers stationed on American soil and receives more defense dollars per capita than any other. But residents of this small city of 185,000 in the scrub pines of Georgia--economically dependent on the consumer dollars of Fort Benning?s floating troop population--are far from unanimous in their attitude toward the protests.

China already IS a superpower, but lucky for us, they just LOOK big, the large majority of thier military is land forces, and the USA is not dumb enough to start a land war with China.
NAVAL WARFARE - China has been increasing the size of thier navy for the last 10 years, everyone thinks they want Taiwan back, this is pretty much the case, the only thing stopping them is the USA has a much better navy, super carriers, lethal attack submarines, and better technologies. A Naval war with China would be big, China has purchased quite a few submarines, which could be bad news for US ships. In the long run, the US Navy with its massive arsenal would eventually wipe out the Chinese Navy. This would be made possible by the accelerated production of the F-22 Raptor if we actually do go to war with China, because the key to keeping our ships safe in the Pacific lies in winning the skies first, and blowing away anything that takes off from China.
BALISTIC MISSILES - Yes China has some pretty good ones too, mostly because they stole the technology from the US. But, we are still a step ahead of them. Our missile defenses for our ships is way better then thiers. They would shoot thier missiles at us, we take some damage but pretty much steer clear of serious danger, then we shoot our tomahawks at them, they cant really do anything, and they lose ships, eventually we win.
But even if we wipe out all thier ships and shoot down all thier planes, we aint gonna TOUCH mainland China, not for a LONG time. So whatever goes on there just happens, and we can complain all we want, even if the chinese govt gets smart and helps us erradicate the bad guys, there will still be a huge black market for guns, bombs, poisins, etc. going on there.

Well then get some rest Mr. typical white american basher.
Train, keeping our military more advanced than our enemies is crucial for securing peace regardless of foreign policy. China's not really a threat today but in 5-15 they will could the next Soviet Union. It's troublesome because under their form of government it doesn't take much to go from upstanding member of the global community to aggressive land-grabber.
