Its time for videogames compagnies to wake up

Wake up videogames compagny.Wake up.You can come a create a game with a few new things in it that will get the customer attention, but sometime and after a while we need more.Sometime its not just new amazing graphics that should do the job.When the playstation 1 arrive, it created something new.New things you werent able to do in videogames.PS1 imo was the most innovative system ever.

We are sick of these little improvement.We are sick of those Madden 200X with 10 new animations year after year base on a 5 years old engine and routine.We are sick with those sequels with some new textures, moves, extra.We are sick of those"zero" version with just a new story implemented and nothing new.We are sick of those wrestling game, years after years, that get no improvement into the gameplay, with just minor improvment in graphics.

What show up at E3 this year?

Ratchet 4,Metal gear 3.5,FFXII,Socom 3,Dragon Quest Vii,Kingdom Heart 2,Mario Party 7,Call of Duty 2,Half Life 2 expansion( ohhh yeah those nice expansion),A new Prince of Persia for old gen console,DOA 4,Perfect Dark Zero,Gran Turismo 5,Devil May Cry 4,FFXI( same version of ps2) for xbox 360! ,blaa blaa bla ok im sick and tired of typing those title now...

Is xbox360 an innovative machine? ATM absolutly not.I got some hope after seeing Ghost Recon 3.But that it.Yeah Gears of War look nice too.But for everything else, yeah it look better, but its just consider " upgrade " compare to old version/what we already saw.

Nintendo? Not enough detail on the system yet, but knowing nintendo, they are always no.1 when its time for marketing and they will end up, and always, number one on xmas time, no mather how crapy their system can end up at the eyes of some.

PS3?I think this is the future of gaming, seriously.PS3 imo will blow away xbox.Xbox 360 is just a big PC.They limit themself again with only DVD( and omg i can bet you $100 that those dvd's get cracked 1 month after the release of the system).PS3 made the right move and will release a system with no piracy( well at least for a long time )with their blue-ray.

But yeah PS3 like the other systems , got the same crap we saw before with sequels with little improvement with graphics/features.So what will make the system special?Well it got one word, and ALL OTHER VIDEOGAME COMPAGNY SHOULD WAKE UP NOW....this word is KILLZONE 2.

My friend ,Killzone ISNT CGI.If sony claim IT IS NOT CGI, then IT IS NOT.They cannot claim something, lying to their customer, knowing they will get massively flamed by those anti-sony...and even their own fans.Sony just cannot say Its CGI and after come back and say nothing about a lie.They just CANT.( told btw by sony it was real to a gamespot representative link : http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/05/20/news_6126204.html ).They just cant come back on their word and say"Sorry fans, we lied.Its just a CGI.I hope you will forgive us."The thing is real.

So what make Killzone trailer special?Well everything.Yeah the graphics all blow us away, but what got the most my attention is the action you get on screen, all happening at the same time.The caracters interaction.If you have some little doubt( like i was having) i recommand you to rent KILLZONE 1 on the PS2 to do some comparaison.OH YEAH ITS NOT THE SAME THING, but lets not forget something, they were able to do this game on the playstation 2.A little machine running at 275mhz with a crappy videocard.The animation of the guns( when moving reloading) is the SAME or EXTREMELY SIMILAR to the one we see in the trailer.Caracter interaction.Yeah in killzone on ps2, you have a little.But you can see the power of the ps3 with the level of ineraction they can give to the caracters.Lets not forget something folks, the PS3 is THRITY 35 MORE POWERFUL than the playstation 2.So you know what? I am expecting my games to be 35 time better!!!I am expecting 35 time the animation im seeing, 35 time the interaction im used to, 35 time the quality of the graphics,35 time..everything.( Ohhh yeah some ah heck came out with this article from a british site about the KILLZONE intro... link : http://www.allvfx.com/news/article.asp?articleid=382&zoneid=3&pos=2453 . FYI, they are talking about the KILLZONE ONE intro on the PS2.If you have doubt, go rent killzone.....youll see everything...


So does that mean xbox360 is doomed?No not really.I really think the xbox360 can do that kind of graphic, and i bet that the halo 3 programmers atm, are ripping their hairs off, asking themself how they will do that .But he PS3 atm win some points, some heavy one, by showing a REVOLUTION in gaming.( Not just again another sequel with some better graphics, extra, coolness etc... )Its time for you, videogame compagnies, to WAKe THE FVCK UP and start making new revolutions instead of stupid sequels.And THANKS TO GORILLA.I really think this compagny just slap some programmers in the face.

haha i agree with most of whatyou say. I think there is no doubt that even if ps3 isnt the best system they did give the best confrence. It had a clear point..they showed what was coming, they talked techinical, they had good demos(rubber ducky), and the hyped it up. Xbox was very broad and unfocused.

Go buy a PCGAMER. They have an article in it this month about how PC Gaming inovation is over. With the onset of huge corperations and software companies there is no way for people to inovate new ideas. New games that broke ground usually came from irregular places but with games costing millions to make for the ability to goto production there is no way people can make a small budget game...

and based on the gpu, this time the ps3 is the one more pc-like. added nvidia gpu once they figured out the cell wasn't as powerful as they'd thought.

just remember what sony said about the emotion engine from the ps2 last time. it was gonna be in everything it was so powerful! it was gonna destroy intel! short memories people have.

I invite you friend to go rent God OF War on the playstation 2, set the game with soften OFF and set yhe game in PROGRESSIVE SCAN WIDESCREEN(if your television support that).There is absoulty no way on earth an intel processor of 300mhz will arrive to do this kind of graphics and animation/interaction.Impossible.

There is no game on xbox that come close to the level of detail this game is showing also, and i have yet to see a spectacular game like this on PC.SURE DOOM 3 have high res gorgeous graphics...but that it.

i agree that sony appears to be ahead of xbox 360 but i don't think you can generalize about ps3 being more innovative than xbox 360 just based on kill zone 2

Well atm,ps3 show something innovative,while xbox just show improvment imo.I dont say that xbox can do that too( perhaps halo 3 MIGHT kick killzone 2 you know).But for now i think ps3 is ahead of xbox360.

Im sooo glad to see this killzone 2 video, cause i really think it set a doubt in all the programmers head and make them asking " hmmm why dont we start trying to do the same or something similar " instead of trying to make multiple sequel with no real improvment.

PS3 looks to be my favorite system at the moment because of the game line up and being sequels to great games, i expect the same high quality gameplay

xbox 360 looks great as well because of the xbox live environment. i currently own all three systems and love playing on my xbox just to go on live and play with other ppl and chat. that is what held back the ps2 in this generation.

i really look forward to seeing what nintendo will do. they always have good and interesting game titles as well. too bad many of them stay in japan and even get brought over to the states

This thread is rediculous. The reason the sequels get all the attention is because there's no reason to hype games we haven't heard of yet. There are plenty of games that are lurking out there, waiting to strike when they're released, but sad as it is to say, the media isn't going to waste their time on these games. If you were forced to make a decision now on whether 10 months from now you'd buy Metal Gear Solid 8 or a game called Stealth Operation, which would you choose? That's not to say Stealth Operation won't be 10 times better than MGS8, but we just don't know that yet.

You need to learn how the media works. Once you do that, you'll understand life in general, and how to live with it.

EDIT: Forgot to add that this is in reponse to the first part of your post about sequels.

PS1 set new standard with games dude.From innovative survival horror games like Resident Evil,To tactical espionage game like Metal Gear Solid,To totally amazing RPG'S like Final Fantasy VII,to the diversity and realism of racing games like Gran Turismo, yeah ps1 set new standard in videogame industry.

Its not only about the new graphics about about the level of realism the ps1 was able to give to the games.Hey we were hearing voices talking in RE1( ok crappy one but still .... i will always remember " whatizit" hehe )
