There were some really cool, hand drawn avatars put up. IIRC, they were gonna make it a contest and add the best one. Alas, it never happened.

Then, every single country on the planet has to have a damn flag, which would be a PITA. The US flags were added for 9/11...I can see adding a UK flag after 7/6 to keep the standard of fairness, but adding Canada would opne the floodgates.
