its that time of year again. Stinky nauseating cinnamon pinecones

I really hate going to the grocery store and get assaulted by the pungent overpowering stink of those holiday cinnamon pine cones. Who buys those god awful things?

I probably will this year. I'm gonna setup a basket for my daughter, and I'll use them for accent.

When I saw this thread, I was thinking "People over 60."



Then this happened:

I like the pine cones, but in moderation. 1 here, 1 there, its fine, but don't put a wicker basket full of them on the table or corner of the room because its too overpowering.

Ditto. I've lived in the Pacific Northwest my entire life, so seeing pinecones is a pretty common occurrence, but I've never once seen one covered in cinnamon offered for sale in a supermarket. How is that a thing?

I went to Lowes on Saturday to buy some plumbing supplies, and they had a palet full of those vanilla stink bombs out near the entrance for some reason - I almost wretched.

I'd almost repressed the memory completely, but now I'm remembering the time I bought pumpkin spice mead because they were sold out of normal mead. It was like sweet burning with just a little spice and some retching thrown in. Nevar again. Pumpkin spice is for pies, and only pies.
