Its that time of year again.. help me decide on a monitor and sound card/speakers

oops, my bad.

I meant the speakers you connect directly to audio card (they come with headphone-like jack) VS speakers connected to an amplifiers via + and - cords (red/black). The amp itself is connected to PC through headphone-like jack. (1/8 inch I believe?)

I like "analog speakers" as much as the next guy, but referring to the other options in this thread as digital doesn't make any sense.

The $200 Klipsh iFi set I recommended has more in common with Klipsch's HT refrence RSX series than their multimedia systems.

Just because a 1/8" jack is used to connect doesn't make something a bad option. There are some other options that have integrated amps that do quite well.

Ok well i decided that im going with the z-2300's... can i get a couple specfic sound cards to consider? Links would be nice ;)
