Fleabag, not only for the year but for the decade.

I think we can skip the nomination process. I figure we can just declare Fleabag the winner. The breadth and depth in which he pwned himself is unprecedented. Other people have the occational thread. This guy is constant self-pwnage.

Another vote from me for fleabag.

Amtrak, by a landslide, gets pwnage of the year (in my humble opinion.)

Unfortunately, call-out threads are generally frowned upon, otherwise I think there's also a hands down winner for tool of the year. None of his threads seem to individually stand on their own as pwnage of the year. Ironically, he's too foolish to know when to stop (same character flaw that Amtrak seemed to have as well.) He thinks he knows everything because, well, he's about 16 years old, drives Mommy and Daddy's cars, and knows how to search on Google.

I'll nominate him for you! PM me :)

What ever actually happened though? Going from the link in this thread and following the links in there and strung between the threads, all I ever see is him whining about the mod and threatening him but saying he's not and that if he doesn't leave him alone he'll call the police. There was a phone call apparently, but beyond that, it just looks like his IP was posted and people told him to stop since they can easily contact his parents, school, other authorities.

Let me guess, you didn't *actually* start learning to drive until you bought your own car...right? Because we all know that if you don't own something, you can't possibly learn a damn thing about it, right! I'm baffled that you people continue to use the argument that because I don't own a certain vehicle, that I somehow don't know anything about it or them. You fail at logic. Your logic would seem to indicate that reviewers who test drive vehicles are idiots and have no business doing such reviews because they don't own the vehicles they drive!

excuse me while I slip on my rudeguy hat

Listen you little punk. You came in putting people down who actually have real work knowledge about this stuff. You are too stupid to know or to stubborn to admit that you are wrong. Just drop it. You are proving yourself to be a complete and total tool. Do us all a favor ok? Smash your keyboard into little chunks then shove equal parts into your eyes and your ass. That way you won't be able to see and we won't be able to hear you talk.

It's pretty god damn irritating. Does anyone still teach kids that the Freedom of Speech implies an inherent obligation to use it wisely?

Meh. They’ll never be able to go for public office when people keep linking to their daily parades of idiocy. That's my comfort. No. Really. That's it. That's all that sustains me.

Wow, I didn't even single you out by name! "He thinks he knows everything because, well, he's about 16 years old, drives Mommy and Daddy's cars, and knows how to search on Google." Wow, that probably applies to a few hundred people who post here. So, that couldn't be the part that gave it away. Hmmmm.... was it "tool of the year?"

And actually, yes, I got my driver's permit AFTER I purchased my own car. Datsun 210; $700 I think it was a 1978? Manual transmission, 4-speed. I'm glad you reminded me of that, because there's a lesson there. I don't think it's possible to teach someone to drive a standard without them having a lot of actual hands-on experience. They may get the basic idea from reading a manual (or Googling these days.) But, without real-world experience, someone who tries to give advice about how to drive a manual who hasn't actually driven a manual is going to stand out like an idiot. The same applies to a lot of other areas. Funny thing is though, you don't realize this fact. That's why the moniker, given above, fits.

Woah there.. How do you jump from the thought that buying your own car somehow makes you more experienced at driving to comparing a person who only READ A BOOK on driving a Manual Transmission compared to one who has actually driven one! Insane! Completely Insane!
Believe it or not, while I haven't spent a dime of my own money, I've racked up quite a few miles across a wide variety of vehicles! Amazing isn't it!? This country we live in!

I think it's lack of retribution for what they say. When you use your freedom of speech to someone face to face and act like a moron you risk them punching you repeatedly in the face to make you shut up. On the internet there's no risk of violent retribution so kids never learn any manners.

I also got my license after owning the car (a banger), although I was lucky since my parents bought it for me. I learned a lot with that car and I've never had a crash in 8 years of driving with 2 different cars after, which I bought. However, I did scrape a wing once in an altercation with a lorry about 5 years ago, driving my dad's car on a narrow country road.

I'll get to the point; I know the basic mechanics of a car, but more importantly I know when to STFU and admit I'm wrong when someone more knowledgeable about cars enlightens me. The same principle applies to other things in life.

AMTRAK is getting schooled, then. His principal will furiously wave printouts of emails, forum threads and reports of his I.P activity - all in his FACE!

I wouldn't bother defending myself if one of my threads were nominated for "Ownage of the Year". Nothing good can come of it.

Here is the problem though. If you have 5 idiots who all agree with each other chiming in with their thoughts in a thread with only one person to counter the idiots, then it can easily look like "ownage". Just watch the movie idiocracy, suspend your beliefs and watch how "luke wilson" gets "owned" so many times...

I think people have sort of lost what "ownage" really means. Ownage is far more like one guy getting his face kicked in by 10 people, curled up in the fetal position than the Palin's being hypocritical asshats.
