Romney is scorching Gingrich tonite. By the look of Newt's face, he knows it too.

IDK how Gringrich voter think he will just school Obama. he has enough problems w/ Romney now he's decided to swing back.
 
I still prefer the My Little Margie marathon on tvland.
Now "Margie" would be a much better republican candidate.

Newt did seem like he was cornered and desperate for a way out there at the start.
 
Santorum made Romney look like a fool on the health care issue. And Romney gave Dems another good soundbite to use, "It's not worth getting upset about."
 
I think this debate is the end of Newt. Romney mercilessly castrated him multiple times tonight. I can't see him recovering from this and the mounting pressure from within the GOP.

The ironic thing is he actually turned Romney into a formidable candidate with his reckless attacks.
 
It was great hearing about the wives. We so rarely get to know them since all the focus is on the candidates. But they all sound like remarkable women, who have done more for than I can hope to do in many lifetimes. I think they'd all be fantastic first ladies. :thumbsup:

One wants a moon base, yet cut taxes. Another wants people to have healthcare, but wants to cut people off healthcare. They tell you why their family is so "valued", but if your gay or single mother that YOURS is not valued.

I can't wait till one of these buffoons goes one on one up against Obama.

my thoughts:

Romney was pretty gangbusters.

Newt looked moribund. he was getting hammered (and again, I laughed when he blasted Mitt for having investments in mutual funds that have money in Fannie/Freddie while he does too).

Rick Santorum is still the devil, but I don't think he has a chance at winning anything other than Montana.

Ron Paul makes enough money to afford a suit that fits.
 
Why bother to rank the 4 winner or losers of the Florida debate, when we are dealing with dumb, dumb, even dumber, and really retarded. As they cannot even summon up all together a tooth pick of real Presidential material.

Face the facts folks, the GOP does not want to win Potus in 2012, because it would require the GOP to take responsibility for fixing the economy, when the GOP prefers the disastrous economic policies of GWB they can preserve with grid lock and filibusters.

But still gotta love the Newt Gingrich comment, that Romney attacks against him are exactly what prevents descent people from running for President. Tell us again, Newt, exactly when you ever qualified to be a descent human being. As the same thing could be said about Romney, Paul, and Santorum. Kinda says it all about the 2012 GOP Potus crop.

But sad to say, regardless of what happens in the 2012 POTUS race, our real overlords in wheeping John, McConnell, tea party idiots, Scotus, and the lobbyist they protect, will remain on top as our real American overlords. Its not even time for the groundhog and Punkstannie PHIL, but regardless if its sunny or cloudy, its a no brainer to predict at least 4 more years of American decline.

One thing I'll hand to Romney, and I wonder if this is a show or clue as to how his mind works, is with Romney's back n forth against Newt and the illegal grandma arguments.
Romney was drawn into this illegal grandma yahoo by Newt, Romney tolerated this only to a point, then Romney basically slammed the door shut to any further discussion on this by simply saying "one million grandma's are not the issue, one million illegals are the issue" (something like that). To me, Romney shows far superior intelligence when pitted one to one against Newt. Newt thinks like a child. Plays to the crowd. Romney is obviously irritated trying to debate such a stupid little man as Newt. Romney puts up with him to a point, then ends it. I give tha quality a huge plus as to Romney's ability and personality. A quality that anyone going up against Obama will surely need to own, if they are to survive past round one. Newt is such a circus act, plain and simple. Crowds tend to love circus acts, but that is where it ends. If voters are crazy enough to go for the circus act, then they will expect that act to preform on a daily basis, and on the high wire to boot. When they realize their candidate simply cannot perform the circus act on a daily basis, they will boo Newt out of the arena.
Such Buffoons! The candidate’s, as well the audience.
What we are witnessing with these debates is not only Obama's re-election, but Obama earning that re-election.

I think it's funny, Newt and Romney are jumping on the Paul wagon and parroting his ideas trying to grab his supporters.
 
Most conservatives I know have no problem with a STATE creating health care for the people of that state, they just have a problem with the Feds doing it.

States have the power to force people to engage in commerce, unlike the feds (car insurance is an example).
