It's soo damn hot in my room

My room faces the sun, so I guess that has something to do with it. The AC is on, I have a ceiling fan, and 2 other fans on high, and yet, it's still hot as b@lls in here. Anything I can do to get it cooler without lowering the AC or installing a window unit?

Get some really dark shades for your windows?

Even at night, it's nasty hot. Usually, it's about 85-86 degrees in here at all times. Right now, I guess Im lucky, it's 83.

Take the computer out of your room and don't turn on a the tv either. I live in the bay area and it does not get that hot but with a tv and computer on its like an oven.

that's a brilliant idea.

I'd also strongly reccomend getting your computer out of the room or at least switching to an LCD.

I dont feel any heat coming from my computer 😕

But I did tip the waiter 25% the other night 😉

It's about 90 here, bedroom window facing the east, so it's always nice and freaking hot in the morning. Makes trying to sleep in on my days off very difficult.

you don't have double layered glass filled with argon? + low e coating?
we recently got em and well...sunlight that comes through really doesn't have much heat anymore. u know how in the winter its cold and u can tell late in the morning that a patch of ground bathed in light even through the window is toasty..well after the new windows.. its just cold😛 but very good in the summer.

I personally use fans + blackout curtains. They help a tremendous amount, even without air conditioning. 😉

I use blinds, do you think blackout curtains would make much of a difference?
