We got a couple of inches in Lubbock, TX. It was 2* yesterday morning.

Midland didnt get any out of this storm, not enough to stick anyway.

I remember when it snowed around Austin (La Grange) in 1989, enough to build a snowman. It hasnt snowed enough to stick since then.

Woohoo: 3000 posts.

We've gotten about 4 or 5 inches here in Mathis (about 32 miles north of Corpus; 100 miles south of San Antone).

Crazy stuff for down here.

We even got enough snow to make a small snowman on the hood of my car. What a night and on christmas eve too. this will never happen again ever, I'm glad I was here to see it

My thoughts exactly.

My dad goes to Texas to get away from the snow.
Instead he gets hit with 11 inchs of it.

Go to Buffalo and you'll see what their winter storms are like. 🙂

Buffalo receives blizzards every year nonstop.

here's 2 pics of my snowy street, another inch last night to go with the 8" or so we got a few days ago:

snowy street 2

here's our snowy house and cars! 🙂

snowy stuff

usually the first snow of the year is hyped up and sorta misses, but it got us pretty good this year just in time for a white Christmas. fyi this is Southern Ontario, we live about 30 minutes east of the Windsor/Detroit area. A good chunk of the US (esp. Michigan) is north of us. So when they say "north of the border", it doesn't apply to ALL Canucks! 🙂 I guess here we are even further south than some parts of California which seems crazy.

I saw some awesome video of people driving in texas, during that snowstorm... Apparantly no one knows how to drive in snow there... Everyone was in big SUVs/trucks, but they were all sliding around... Of course the news only showed the worst drivers, but hell.. fun to watch.

yeah. it was a lot of fun pushing people's cars & trucks out of the snow too. around here, everyone apparently thinks it is amusing to try and drive around in crappy weather. with bald tires.
