To a LAN party to play all your favorite games.

The LAN party will probably last till the wee hours of the morning and you know you'll have lots of fun with your buddies there.

A few hours before you are ready to leave, a member of the opposite gender calls you to see if you want to catch a movie they are interested in watching. This person is someone whom you are very attracted to and wouldn't mind going out on a date with!

You however, made a commitment to your friends of the LAN party that you'll be there.

You don't want to be a jerk to anyone. What would you choose?

PS: Hypotheical situation in case you are wondering!

edit: which part of hypothetical situation don't you understand? It's not really happening to me. Wondering YOUR opinions. I know I'd choose the girl myself. But not everyone might answer that way

It's just a freakin' LAN party. Hell, if it's going that late, go out with the girl and then go to the LAN party afterwards.

You've got to think about the posters that make up a majority of this board. How many of them would have girls calling them to go to a movie, that they'd actually have any chance whatsoever of getting poon by night's end?
 
Keep the commitment. Ask the person of the opposite gender if they are willing to wait to see the movie until you don't have a prior commitment. If this won't work out, tell the person you would love to do something else with them soon. This way, they will know you are a person who keeps commitments, and won't be ditching them for someone else in the future.

Okay, go the the LAN party. Do the same thing you do every day (play video games), and come home and beat off to porn. Or, get a real girl and play video games afterwards.

and the only reason that option is getting all of the votes is because this would never happen to the avearge poster on this fourm. so of course they would ditch a LAN party if a girl actually talked to them
