Yes, 82 years ago, at 11 minutes past 11AM on the 11th day of the 11th month, the armistice was signed & the Great War was officially over. Arround the world the day became known as Armistice Day.

After WWII the day became known as Remembrance Day, a day for all people (of any nationality) to remember fallen comrades anywhere.

Age shall not weary them
nore the years condemne
at the going down of the sun
& in the morning
we shall remember them
lest we forget
