There is no anti-semitism whatsoever in the article you linked. Do you even know what anti-semitism means ?

So a people's right to 'defend' themselves is a green-light for terrorism?

Guess that means Israel's right to defense is a mushroom cloud over Gaza. That's what Hamas would do to them, and everyone loves Hamas.

Palestinians have the right to defend themselves. I mean they only fired over 700 rockets into Israel in the last 12 months.

When you are deliberately targeting and blowing up buses with civilians you have no rights.

http://www.thestar.com/news/world/a...frightening-reminder-of-last-decade-s-attacks

The bombing of a bus in Tel Aviv on Wednesday was less devastating than the suicide attacks that Israeli civilians endured in cafes, buses, beaches and restaurants during the second Palestinian uprising more than a decade ago.
But the explosion, which injured about 20 people, was still a reminder of how quickly the current Gaza conflict could escalate and spread deep into Israel.

Yeah, it's a basic human right to respond to any perceived wrong, real or imagined, with rocket fire aimed at civilians!

You realize that anywhere else in the world such actions would be construed as an act of war and warrant retaliatory strikes.

Palestinians get what they deserve. When the begin to love their children more then they love death only then will they step on the neck of the psychotic radical element among them selves that embraces war and death.

And for another perspective: link

Gideon Levy is the most hated man in Israel – and perhaps the most heroic. This “good Tel Aviv boy” – a sober, serious child of the Jewish state – has been shot at repeatedly by the Israeli Defence Force, been threatened with being “beaten to a pulp” on the country’s streets, and faced demands from government ministers that he be tightly monitored as “a security risk.” This is because he has done something very simple, and something that almost no other Israeli has done. Nearly every week for three decades, he has travelled to the Occupied Territories and described what he sees, plainly and without propaganda.

He reported that day on a killing, another of the hundreds he has documented over the years. As twenty little children pulled up in their school bus at the Indira Gandhi kindergarten, their 20 year-old teacher, Najawa Khalif, waved to them – and an Israel shell hit her and she was blasted to pieces in front of them. He arrived a day later, to find the shaking children drawing pictures of the chunks of her corpse.

There's much more there. He talks about how the IDF riddled the car he was travelling in with bullets after they waved him on down the road. No reason, they just did.

He also says most times, rocket attacks begin after a murder of a Palestinian civilian by the IDF.

Probably because the way that the Israelis treat the Palestinians is deplorable.

If they're treated badly, it's only because they want to exterminate the Israelis. The ugly truth is that if the Palestinians had made peace with the Jews years ago, they would have more freedom, more wealth, and a higher quality of life than Muslims almost anywhere else in the world.

What exactly are they defending themselves against? Good secular government that can lead to freedom and economic prosperity?

The Palestinians, goaded on by the rest of the Arab and Muslim world, brought this all on themselves.

Israel is certainly not perfect. However, it says a lot about Israeli society that they have journalists who can express these opinions. I challenge you to find an example of a Palestinian living the in the territories who espouses views sympathetic to Israel. I doubt will find one because someone who did wouldn't be around very long.

Furthermore, Palestinian leadership has made making peace in the future extremely difficult by poisoning the well through propaganda to the their own people. They have raised generations of children that not only define themselves by their fight against Israel (which is understandable given the circumstances), but also take as gospel that Israel and Jews are evil and the decedents of apes and pigs.

Did you miss the part where he has almost been beat to death, had to run from people who threaten to kill him, has been shot at by the IDF multiple times (and not just pot shots, but multiple rounds to the middle of the windshield... Thankfully it was bulletproof)

Gaza used to be largely secular, but it is the random killings, racism, abject poverty and blockades which have driven them to religious extremism.

I'm not sure how much of that is true. Gideon Levy is a radical journalist that has posted much about "apartheid" and such, yet he's still alive and participates in various TV shows, including popular Reality crap.

You are cherry picking parts of the article
Does he think this is a real possibility – that his freedom could be taken from him, in Israel itself? “Oh, very easily,” he says. “It’s already taken from me by banning me from going to Gaza, and this is just a start. I have great freedom to write and to appear on television in Israel, and I have a very good life, but I don’t take my freedom for granted, not at all.

Gaza used to be largely secular, but it is the random killings, racism, abject poverty and blockades which have driven them to religious extremism.

Israeli unilaterally withdrew from Gaza 18 months before Hamas was elected. Even before that the previous leadership couldn't be considered secular in the Western sense of the word.

I would say it's their religious extremisn that's led to random killings, racism, abject poverty and blockades. How many Muslim countries are a great place to live?

If I were in charge I'd make a parking lot out of both Israel and Gaza. The world would be a much better place without them.

I'd also take out Florida and Texas while I was at it.

"It's Palestinians who have the right to defend themselves"

They are so special until no one else doesn't have the right to do the same.
