Moonbeam, no one hopes you are right more than me.

========

Chess, I am not claiming to be right. I have not taken any position. I asked only if there could be light at the end of the tunnel. Thread after thread that I read is doom and gloom. I think people see what they believe. I think there's any number of ways you can do that and I demonstrated one. Hope and depression are so linked up with attitude.

I don't know about anyone else, but material wealth doesn't define me and never has. I haven't been a complete stranger to it, but I haven't been a slave to it either. I think one can be an optimist and a realist. :) I'm mad about this mess because of the harm it has caused to so many poor people, and so many innocent people, not because I've been harmed. One can only suffer so much after retirement, and most of the suffering has little to do with money.

I have hope. I hope my topspin backhand keeps getting better. I hope to understand the English Opening one day in chess. :) I hope people give up believing in mystical ideas. I hope for peace and understanding, and the ability to kick someone's ass if they aren't into peace and understanding. ;) But, I'm a realist too. None of that will probably ever happen and I'm cool with it.

Here's a nice graph showing the "jump" in the data :)

You can see, it is a relatively large move in apartment housing but absolutely nothing on single family.
