There have been some good deals, even though I dont need alot of this stuff. They sold color laser machines in bunches. I listened as they sold 53 desktops for a total of 3000, not bad if you have an office or something. Id like to place some bids when the flat panel monitors come around (i hope i havent missed them) but buyer?s premium is high and im sure shipping will suck. I was dumbfounded earlier when i listen as they auctioned off the enron monument the big "E". It sold for 10,500!

Tommorrow they will have the plasma monitors and a lot of networking stuff, (cisco equipment and 3com stuff.) UPS's might get some fair prices. Tommorrow theyre gonna sell rack servers and because of the bulk i wonder if they get a good price.
On the 3rd day they are selling all the art work, anything decorative, i saw they were even selling a potted plant! The enron advertisements are hilarious
excellent
Honesty! Integrity!
communication, sure......
ok so maybe these stuff isnt a hot deal, but if anyone knew about which paper shredders work well, it was enron! :D

The auctioned off one "Big E" in the last auction. The bid was $32,000 when my connection died. I understand that there were 2 of them.

Sorry Raj, but I don't see anywhere in my text where I specifically said a 51" Plasma TV was going for $3,000. Welcome to the internet though, where people use generalizations to make a point.

IE. $3,000 retail TV will sell for $4,000 due to stupid bidders.

How was I wrong? I made a generalization about how everything from the first auction was overbid to higher than retail.

EDIT: And low and behold... "50 inch pioneer plasma sold for 7500. they go for like 6000 brand new. " Again... how was I wrong? :D

Now, tell me, why would they, the auctioneer, want people to get a good deal, when they know idiots or people with money to burn will buy crap for retail + 15%?

and I think chrisisbored won ;) zing.
