That could have won it for her too, and I know many Trump people were worried about it at the time. But nooo, you get all the "Haha good riddance, that guy isn't a real Dem anyways" from certain members here, and now they're going to be completely buttflustered that it turned off some potential voters.

It's entirely up to Trump how much influence Pence would have. VPs have very little Constitutional power. They can break ties in the Senate and wait for the President to die. That's about it. FDR parked his VPs on ice. Bush I, Clinton, and Bush 2 provided unprecedented roles for their VPs. Obama dialed it back a bit.

I've been watching the MSM and social media actively try to subvert public opinion for months, trends on twitter and Facebook just suddenly disappear. That's propaganda.
 
I also thought they were wrong, and I still think that Trump is the "wrong" choice on so many levels and I am 100% convinced it will soon show WHY he is wrong.

BUT: I respect even the worst Trump supporters for their vote against corruption, career politicians etc. <- I do in fact think there is nothing wrong with that. It was clear that many in America are tired of this, and this is the logical result.

You cannot face 50% or more of Americans who are angry and give them a candidate like Clinton who INDEED represented all those negative things, corruption, Wallstreet etc. How should that work? OF COURSE she'd be bound to lose. I am still claiming that Bernie would have won since it was him who actually COULD give the people what they wanted, change etc., he was like the "Anti-Trump" but also anti-establishment...and this is what people made vote Trump this time.

Clinton merely represented "the same old", but people were tired of it.

There are plenty of wealthy Ds that would have swallowed a bitter pill and gone to R to preserve wealth rather than going Bernie. He'd lose the I vote far worse than H did.

He wasn't going to win. No way the country was going to vote for a doddering old socialist who was promising huge tax increases and govt takeover.

This was always going to be a nail-biter. Bill Maher and Micheal Moore have been screaming it all year.

History is strongly against a 3rd term, and Hillary is a terrible closer, but the D bench was shallow.

The top 0.1% of America only gets 0.1% of the popular vote though. I think it would be hard for them to pump out enough ads to convince blue-collar people to stay away.

My local statehouse races are showing the results of gerrymandering. All the red districts are going red by 70% and the blue districts are going blue by 70%, where there are even opponents bothering to run.
 
I like how the media is pretending this isn't over. Trump has won. You guys lost all credibility. Go home with your tail between your legs. The people won. The swamp will be drained.

Doubtful. They would be swamped by the numbers of people across the entire spectrum who supported Bernie. Seeing as he was the only true anti-establishment candidate in the race, I think you couldn't be more wrong.
