Now look I may poke fun at religious people's goofy thoughts from time to time because they usually do an abysmal job at understanding the universe around them but I have to keep in mind that not everyone can be a scientist and that they are just doing the best they can. Even if you don't "get it" and say or do stupid things, even if you don't agree with me, even if we don't see eye to eye on some issues: Mr. Rogers reminded me to love you all just the way you are.

Yet Mr. Rodgers was a better person than most scientists I've met. Interesting, eh?

Not really since you've already profoundly proven your ignorant bias with regards to science.

Mr Rodgers was a better person than literally every religious person I've ever met. How about that, eh?

He was also instrumental in helping us to be allowed to record TV shows.

I say this not out of spite, but an offer to help. Find a good therapist.

Are you kidding? Those puppets were fucking creepy meow meow.

KT

That shouldn't affect you years later in adulthood unless there is some trauma like someone touching you while watching the show.

Children: No one should ever touch you in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable. If anyone does touch you in ways that make you feel uncomfortable, find an adult you can trust and tell them.

The only reason that I would wear a cardigan this winter....

Cheese and crackers after school over at grandma's house. That's how I will always remember him and his show.

Good memories.

Folks this is an example of a healthy memory of a show enjoyed during childhood. If you have memories that make you feel uncomfortable, there are people called therapists who can help you work through those feelings and feel better.

Are you having trouble understanding because your subconscious won't let you due to emotional distress? It's plain English I don't see what's so difficult about it.

What I was saying was that it isn't normal for adults to be scared of puppets. I didn't say it applied to anyone here. It was just a public service announcement similar to what Fred Rogers used to do because the human mind didn't come with an instruction manual.
