I just picked up a job application from Meijer today 😱

*EDIT* For those of you who don't know... Meijer is a large midwest supermarket chain where lots of snotty teenagers and old bums work 🙂

I said the same thing once, but hey fat chicks are like mopeds. They are fun to ride, but you don't want to tell your friends about it.

join the club i have put in apps at blockbuster Best Buy CC, Tops.... just about everyplace and yet still no job
 
is it that you dont have any skills other then to work at a supermarket?

or you never got that peice of paper that says your good at something?

are the union? cuz eventually you could make some good money 😉
 
Remember...the trick to getting a REAL job is meeting people that have real jobs and getting hooked up. No one's getting jobs from monster.com anymore.

A little of both... I don't have the paper to prove I have the skills to do much. I went to school to be an auto tech but that's down the tubes cause when I left college I couldn't handle it physically because of a bad knee... couldn't be on my feet for 8 or 9 hours a day... I was icing my knee after 5 hour classes in the shop at college. Now it's been a few years since I graduated and nobody wants to hire me cause I don't have any experience. So now I'm just trying to earn money to get out of my parent's house and pay for more schooling, probably something in the computer field.

Well... I'm in Michigan, and we don't consider ourselves the Ohio Valley... so north of there too =)
 
Don't feel bad. I went to work at Carl's Jr. when I was 22 because I was deasperate.

Things get better, but you need a paycheck now to get there later.
