agreed. I pay up the wazoo for my insurance with AAA and my car died out on the expressway the other day. It turns out i was out of gas (although i didn't know it at the time) and the driver could tow me 10 miles i think (b/c i'm a AAA membership cardholder or something like that
). I just wanted to go home instead of going to my uncle's house, and the driver would only take cash for the additional miles back to my house (it's $3.50/mile above 10 miles...i lived about 20 miles away i think), then he decided that he had a doctor's appointment and wasn't able to take me back home, so he dropped me off at my uncle's house. Luckily, i filled up the tank and away i went, but the moral of the story still sucks: insurance sucks.Another quickie: my bike had died out on the expressway in sweaty balls weather and i called up my moto insurance company (progressive) and they told me that they didn't do tows for bikes. I'm like "WTF!!! i'm stranded on the expressway, no way to get home, COME GET ME!!!!". I ended up waiting a couple hours for my mom to come get me, then waited a couple more hours to pick up my bike in my mom's van.
