I think that the Patriots will do good this year, but win the superbowl....I dont think so.

Watch out for the Ravens though, even though we lost Adalius.

Krunchy, I like you...but the Ratbirds will NEVER win another Superbowl as long as you have Billick as your HC and Ray 'the shank' Lewis on your team. That's too much bad Juju. Besides, you're gonna get cooked at least twice next season by my Browns. Bank it. 😀

I'm offering my Jamal Lewis jersey for sale to the Browns fan.

It used to be purple, but I wiped my butt with it and now you'll fit right in at the games!

 Come on, we had some good years with Jamal.

Yeah all in good fun 🙂 My ticket from the 295 yard game against the clowns won't be coming down off the wall anytime soon.

In a stroke of pure genius, the Texans have become the biggest winners of this years off season by securing future Hall of Fame quarterback Matt Schaub from the Atlanta Falcons. With a beefed up linebacking core and a solidified defensive line, Schaub to Johnson will soon be as common with fans as "Montana to Rice" or "Manning to Harrison." Watch out world, the Texans are comin for ya!

You're living in la-la land.

Schaub is good, no doubt, but that team just has so many holes....
Sarcasm meter done broke?

Texans mgmt has to be one of the worst in pro sports.

You will never see the Texans in the Super Bowl. EVER.

Not Reggie Bush, they screwed up not grabbing Vince Young. You build your team around a quarterback, or at least finally grab the QB that will push your already decent team over that edge (Colts are a perfect example of building around a QB, Steelers and Patriots are a perfect example of finally finding that missing piece)... not only did Vince show great signs in his first year, he would have been an instant fan favorite for his home town Texans from the start even if he did worse there than he ended up doing for the Titans (which was a team that wasn't any better off than the Texans).

just a few retorts being one of the few members of the board that actually wastes his time following the texans closely...

Klin - i hope carr finds a good team as well. he had way too much blame put on him and i think he could make a positive impact if put in the right situation. i mean hell, the guy still had one of the highest completion percentages in the league this past year.

Queasy - the texans did give up a lot for a guy that's only started 2 games in his career.

krunchykrome - williams essentially played on 1 foot for the entire year due to injury. he was too much of a competitor to sit out, though, and that's the kind of guy you want on your team.

RagingBITCH - bush wouldn't have done anything that wali lundy didn't do. in the saints offense he was a glorified 4th-5th receiver that started out in the backfield rather than at the line. they also beat the colts with that DE.

Mr Incognito - for all intents and purposes the patriots should be amazing this year. they've done nothing but add more great talent to the team and no one would be wrong to bet on them to go far.

Rob9874 - right now the main problem is the secondary. in free agency they have signed multiple guys to the o-line, 2 linebackers to help out demeco ryans (rookie of the year and one of the best in the league), and got ahmad green in the backfield. and btw, what's romo rated in madden? i'm sure his madden rating translated really well to how he played last year😉

meltdown75 - i was speaking in jest, in case you weren't aware.

Nocturnal - being a UT graduate, i'm one of the biggest VY fans on this board, but the titans have killed themselves this offseason. they got rid of his 2 main receiving threats, got rid of his top rusher, and then there's the pacman situation. i love vince to death, but if they don't put some pieces around him i think he may regress this year.

herkulease - the only trades & acquisitions that gets mainstream media attention are the franchise skill players. the texans have acquired 2 linemen in this off season and one of their best linemen missed most of last year due to injury.

Unfortunatly, i don't think anyone in the afc will stop the pats this year. I would pick the ravens if samari rolle wasn't 2nd corner back 😛

...or a dozen other players that had a better year than Mario Williams.

Pity they got a quaterback, I was hoping they'd nap Brady Quinn

You have a new favorite team every year. Titans, then Panthers, then Ravens, now Patriots.

*puts hands on crystal ball*

I see a lot of three step drops in Matt's future. I see him on the ground covered by 300 lbs men. I see him running for his life on every other play.

ok seriously though, I feel bad for Carr. Oh well, I just hope Schaub is as amazing as all the sports analysts have made him out to be over the past few years.

1. you know nothing about matt scaub - completed 84 of 161 passes for 1,033 yards, with six touchdown passes and six interceptions. nfl Hall of Fame quarterback?

2. you cant feel bad for a former #1 pick

The Texans need a solid 2nd WR to complement Johnson, who is a BEAST.

Does anyone know if Dominick Davis is coming back? Also, the Texans got a RB this offseason.. I'm not sure who.. Ahman Green?

ever heard of sarcasm? i suppose you completely missed that part where i said "ok seriously though" because otherwise you just look really stupid.

fallenangel99 - dominick davis changed his last name to williams (no clue why) but i think they are saying he may miss the entire year again. and yes they picked up the former packers running back.

so why do you feel bad for a former #1 pick that should have brought his team more wins ?>

You know panthers are my team. I just have the ability to look at teams subjectively. Oh yea, and I liked my team since they came into the league, not since i bought madden 05. 🙂

I'm a Fresno State fan. I went to I think 3 games in 2001 when he had his breakout year (344-533, 64.5% comp, 4839 yards, 46 TDs in 14 games). I believe he can be a very good QB if given the right tools., which I believe the Texans failed to provide(offensive line).

Played QB at Virginia. Been sitting behind Michael Vick the last three years.

RB, you most certainly DO build a team around defense. Mario Williams is a great defensive end. He did fine for a rookie DE. Opposing teams had to double-team him almost immediately. Now all he needs is some help, and he will put up some nice sack numbers.
Bush looked like the better choice simply because he was on a better team to begin with.
Put him on the Texans as a starting RB, and he probably gets hurt. He certainly wouldn't have shown much running behind that terrible O-line. In New Orleans, he had the luxury of being able to be brought along slowly...catch a few passes, run the ball occasionally, etc. He didn't have to be the man.

All of you are wrong. You build your team around a good o-line. I don't care how good a QB and RB duo is, if they have a ****** o-line, they won't win any super bowl.
