This is the fourth day without tobacco for me. I just read the thread about cigars here and now I want to smoke. WHat should I do>?

Picture yourself telling people you've been tobacco free for a year. How they'll admire your self-discipline. How they'll congratulate you and tell you how proud you should be.

Then picture yourself checking to be sure your fly is zipped. 😉

I got a beer and popcorn. I'm only going to drink 1 though. I have to get up for work. One good thing about work is that I'm in a lab all day and I can't smoke in there so I don't have to worry about smoking there. Now that I think about it, it's strange that out of the 400+ people who work in my building, I don't know a single one who smokes.

I'm going on my fourth week without a cig! Whenever I get a craving I just go for a mile jog or try to do some sort of excercise / activity to get my mind off smoking. So far it's worked... I'm a lot less stressed out and I no longer feel like a foggy mind numbed zomby. 🙂

Congratuations and good luck. Take up cooking as a new hobby, go to various cooking websites, search for recipes for things that you really like, especially chocolate. Also, take up running or some other intense exercise. Do fifty pushups every time you get a craving (ten if you're at work at the time.)

i gotta quit, every pack is the last pack, thanks for the reminder, gotta stick with it. its tough with so many smoker friends

congrats, i am on my 22nd smoke free day 😀

quite honestly it has been easy, you just have to set your mind to the fact that you are never going to smoke again, period.

To all who are quitting ... congrats. Keep on course, you'll be much better for it! (and you'll smell better too!) 🙂

Day two here. My wife is on day four.

I quit for 5 years, and was a dumbass and started up again.

I've been smoking for about a year, decided to try "the patch".

So far, so good.
