It's not safe to pump your own gas anymore, video inside

you do that if you pay inside ya know, you don't HAVE to pay at pump 😉

EDIT though it does look fake because he never selected the grade of gas 😉

I see multiple nozzles I think. And there are gas stations that don't make you pay first. And there are Speedpass devices that can be attached to your car that will pay automatically.

Of all the things to make a fake video of, WHY THIS?!

You don't have to. That pump clearly has 3 nozzles, one for regular, mid grade, and premo.

Strange. He gets out of his car, walks straight to the pump, lifts the handle and starts pumping. No pushing any buttons, no credit card, no selection of any type. Then he just stands in exactly the same spot, and he's not holding the handle, until he is hit. Strange. Very odd.

I say, "bogus." But I admit, it's a strange thing to fake.

duh I see that now, I'm used to the gas stations around here that have 1 nozzle and 3 buttons or 2 nozzles if there is diesel.

Most areas of the country do not have "pay first" gas stations.

None of the stations in this town do. Nor any of the towns I lived in in the south.

Pay first are all over Southern CA, though.

Really? That's exactly how I pump gas every time I fill up.

No pay first here.

Three nozzles for each grade on the pump.

A catch so you don't have to hold the trigger the entire time.

If this is bogus, I am bogus at least once a week.

man, do you guys live a sheltered life?

pumps have multiple handles (yes they exist)

many pumps assume if you begin pumping, your paying inside.

It's funny, but people in areas like LA tend to think people from other areas of the country are naive and sheltered. When, in reality, LA is one of the most insular areas of the country. They have little to no idea what life is like anywhere else.

The only time its pay first here in Canada is at night and at gas stations in 'rough' areas where left is more likely.

Although I 'pay' first with Shell Easy Pay every time since its so damn fast... Wave keytag, pump gas, grab receipt, leave.
